Two Industrial Solar Heating Successes Recently Completed by Millennium Energy Industries
Abu Dhabi - Millennium Energy Industries (MEI) is announcing two more success stories of solar energy implementations in the industrial sector. The first project was implemented in a textile factory to supply the manufacturing process with 250,000 liters of 60 °C hot water daily in summer and winter used in bleaching and washing jeans. The second solar solution was implemented in a chocolate factory to maintain the heat based process at high temperatures 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, based on solar energy.

MEI deployed an industrial solar heating solution for American firm, Jordache’ textile factory. They are the owners of several jeans brands and manufacturer of jeans for GAP and Levi’s. The annual expected savings - based on actual performance numbers from the first two phases of the project during the past year- are projected to reach $600,000 at current energy prices, with a payback of about 1 year. For the PMC Chocolate Factory in Amman the system will be the primary energy source for heat in the industrial process.
The turnkey system by MEI is anticipated to have high life expectancy with a short payback period of the investment made by the PMC of approximately 2 years.
